Dr. Emily Moore is a Registered Psychologist with 11 years of education and training. Dr. Moore obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She subsequently pursued specialized training at Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, California. Dr. Moore is fortunate to have had diverse clinical experiences serving individuals with a wide variety of mental health concerns, across a variety of university, school and hospital settings. Given these experiences, Dr. Moore successfully integrates numerous evidence-based approaches to support individuals in acquiring new insights which prompt change, passion and a sense of purpose.
Dr. Moore has a particular interest and expertise in working with individuals experiencing perfectionism, low motivation, burnout, procrastination, and overthinking. She commonly works with high achievers, healthcare professionals, lawyers, executives, and academics who are struggling to navigate co-occurring physical and mental health challenges which interfere with their ability to find meaning and purpose in their lives. Dr. Moore is also a specialist in the treatment of chronic pain. She is passionate about working with individuals as they navigate medical illness and chronic health concerns, as well as the many other difficulties that co-occur, including stress, anxiety and depression. Dr. Moore capably combines research and clinical theory to develop individualized treatment plans that address unique patient needs, resonate with goals and support growth.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Moore is actively engaged in a variety of research projects related to motivation, health policy, burnout and chronic pain.
