Therapeutic Approach

Dr. Moore's therapeutic style is warm, flexible, and collaborative. She values the incorporation of genuineness, humour, and hope in her work. Dr. Moore cultivates an accepting and understanding environment in order to build awareness of thoughts, beliefs and actions that are impacting your mood, behaviours, relationships, and physical health.


Dr. Moore is trained in a number of therapeutic modalities, including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Pain Reprocessing Therapy. She integrates solution-focused, evidence-based treatments with documented effectiveness, to promote insight, develop coping skills and improve well-being. At the onset of therapy, Dr. Moore will collaborate with you to establish achievable goals and develop a personalized treatment plan to generate meaningful, long-lasting change. 

Dr. Moore adapts her approach to each individual's needs, however, she places importance on skill development in order to support concrete learning, scaffolded independence and future wellness.
